The Giver. Book III. The Messenger, Lois Lowry

I finally finished this series that had so intrigued me and so I was enjoying. I've finally tied up all the ends and I have learned what happens to each of the characters from previous books.

The review has spoilers of The Giver of memories and Blue Raiders, the two previous parts.

The Giver III: The Messenger , Lois Lowry

Mati Little is not so small. It's been six years since leaving Nora and went to the blind . Mati now no longer a rude boy, dirty and disorderly, it has become a real boy. People living in , along with all those people that has slowly been abandoning their villages and are happy. But Mati soon cease to be called that, to get a real name. The blind is Overseer, the father of her friend Jean's mentor, and a boy not much older than him, blue eyes and that was years ago in sled is Leader. Mati suspect that your name will be Messenger , since he is responsible for carrying messages from one village to another, and that is the only one who can go through the Forest without any concern. The forest is dangerous, can kill people who decide to penetrate it.
Pueblo People are friendly and helpful , always willing to help, but some are slowly changing , including Mentor . From time to time, marks the Exchange Market and Mati think people are redeeming things that make your personality change and this is leading to the decline Village.

In The Giver III finally have answers to all questions that we left the first and second part . Want to know what happened to Jonah ? Why Nora wanted to stay in your village? Read the third part, because everything is there.
To me, that I Mati is the most lovable character of these books, I am delighted to be the protagonist a third party. No longer a mischievous kid and petty thief, and not speak in a strange way and is dirty. Mati has grown and matured. In The Messenger know to Mati will continue reminding us that little guy, the fiercest of the fierce , but more adult, a Mati able to worry about the other inhabitants of Pueblo, capable of love.

- How very rebellious and shameless eras, Mati, when you came to Pueblo.
- I referred to myself as "the fiercest of the fierce."

This third part of the story takes us into what we needed to know. In The Giver of memories, we had a village where coexistence was perfect , all lived comfortably but had to abide by a set of rules and deprived of enjoying aspects of life that really did not know. In Blue Raiders met a extremely poor society in which people rejected them for having small physical defects. Finally, Lowry presents a society Normal , in which people are good and help, which is a leader who looks after the welfare of all, no democracy, and takes into account the views of every citizen. But this society is corrupting because people crave what they do not have and are willing to do this at any price , although this would involve losing your kindness . This book, like the previous two, is a great critique of society, of course, but personally, I've noticed The Messenger more akin to what the world in which we live.

"We need whole fish for us. "
" Our school is small and their children do not fit, is for us. "
" Even people talk well. They do not understand. "
" They have too many needs. We do not want to take charge of them. "

Like the others, the book is very easy to read. I liked the outcome of this trilogy, but has not been book that I liked of the three. The Messenger think a good ending to the story, very human and teaching very large. The end of the book is exciting , to the point of having started a few tears.
