MONACO DIVORCES TO SUPPORT FIRST LADY

GUATEMALA. AFP. The president of Guatemala, Alvaro Colom, and his wife, Sandra Torres, filed for divorce the first lady may be a candidate for head of state, officially.

"The petition for divorce by mutual consent was filed on March 11 and the case known as the Second Court of Family, under Judge Mildred Roca," said Edwin Escobar spokesman for the Supreme Court.

The Constitution prohibits the re-election of head of state, as well as applications from "the relatives within the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree" of the agent.
