Each feather flock together IX: Never two without three

few weeks ago I
a comparison of book Moccia, A three meters above the sky , with the English film of the book. But a few days ago I saw the Italian version and I thought about doing some sort of comparison of the two films and books. To see how it goes.

A three meters above the sky Tre metri sopra vs heaven

This section contains spoilers, so beware! Moreover, everything is written from my point of view, which does not have to be that of the rest of the world.

Babi is the perfect daughter and Step is the bad guy. Destiny wants you to know, to hate and then fall in love. However, a relationship between two very different people but there can be problems. Violence, cocks, blood, laughter, motorcycles, sigh ... do not miss anything.
In the battle of the English film vs. the book I was, without doubt, the film . And is that the English version I fell in love. I really wanted to see the Italian version, many people had told me that was one pass and surpassed the English, but I have some points against:

In my opinion, Italian film is very light. The story unfolds in a very quick, the action scenes are conspicuous by their absence. Perhaps the English film sin of being too violent, but the Italian is that there is nothing unusual. Step becomes too good a time Babi know. Hache, however, remains the bad guy was, but love. We
Parts:
The scene where he tells Step Babi who has denounced and defended his friend Chicken: I found very soft in the Italian film . In English, Chicken is at hand to defend Babi Hache, but the Italian simply says how you do that? or something ... as if asking the time.
The fight between two girls: no longer than fifteen seconds in the Italian film not just give it importance.
And most importantly, the death of chicken. And I complained when I read the book that this death was not up to what the character deserved. Just said that Chicken has died, without any emotion. In the English film is a very intense moment in which we must fight back tears because the scene was really touched. In the Italian film occurs without more, Step takes a couple of kicks to the bike and will Babi: emotion, zero.

to mention that I also see the English film is much more faithful to the book the Italian . In the Italian , introduce a narrator, a radio announcer and, frankly, I understand very well their role. There are notable changes: Step does not sleep with Madda when Babi already met, and the girl steals the handkerchief from Babi, Chicken did not ask for money to fix the bike, but because he lost a bet or a game, the beach house is not a house but a castle, Claudio does not know the Cuban, etc. One of the things that surprised me the English version it is very true to the book, and now I realize that it is more so as the Italian version . Moreover, it is true I think that the English have been copied from the Italian to make the final as the death book Chicken is not what makes Step Babi leave.

characters. The only thing I liked most in the Italian film was Step. Oh, Step ... Is fantastic! And that I loved Mario Casas, but the Italian Step is perfect. Babi I was not upset, but I liked Maria Valverde. And regarding Pallina Chicken ... Without hesitation I stay with the English! were my favorite characters in the English film , and truth is that the Italian have lacked something. Step brother, Paolo, I do not totally convinced the Italian film . I read in the book was a boy in person, other good-natured ... more like the English film .

In conclusion, I found the film too Italian light to what should have been devoid of violence that distill Step and his friends, somewhat slow and somewhat forced dialogue. In this case, I'd take the book because I liked what I liked Italian film. And if they get in game three, I prefer the English film .

You? Have you read the book? Have you seen the movie? What about English? What do you think of adaptation? What movie version you prefer? Do you prefer to Step version Hache Italian or English version?
I know what you think =)
